Helping Georgians in need see more clearly.
Eye Examinations and Eyeglasses for Adults in Need
Prevent Blindness Georgia began the Vision Outreach program in 2000 as a mobile clinic offering free eye examinations and low cost eyeglasses to indigent, uninsured, and low income adults at their shelters or senior centers. Over the past 15 years, we have provided sight-saving services to thousands of individuals who could have suffered from complications due to aging eye disease if they had not had access to early detection and timely treatment.
We take vision screeners, eye doctors, equipment, and even eyeglasses onsite to agencies across the state in order to identify those with eye disease and refer them for further treatment. To learn about partnering with the Vision Outreach program to provide services at your organization, call Shavette Turner, VP of Vision Services at 404.266.2020.
We offer monthly appointments for eye exams and eyeglasses for those who financially qualify for our services. Eye exams are free and eyeglasses (both single vision and bifocals) are offered for $30. To schedule an appointment for the next available clinic in Metro Atlanta, call 404.266.2020.
